Given that she used to be a washed up child actress who stopped getting roles due to her personality, she wounds up picking up a bunch of random skills and changed herself in an attempt to stay even the slightest bit relevant in the entertainment industry; it's why she can come off as cruel, yet desperate. She was also a former idol and once sung a song about bell peppers. We don't talk about it.

She is very much aware of her future canon point stuff. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Himeko herself is a rather serious girl who prides herself on her analytical skills and computer skills. She has a lot of trust issues and has a tendency to put up a lot of walls to protect herself to the point where she's isolated herself emotionally. She's extremely lonely in spite of her pretending that she's fine and tries to focus her all on her work versus enjoying herself because she doesn't feel like she deserves it.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Female, she/her AGE: 19 HEIGHT: 5'2" WEIGHT: People will probably notice that she looks much thinner and pale as of late, which is evident in her weight. HAIR COLOR: Black EYE COLOR: Amber brown STYLE: Himeko has a tendency to wear blacks and neutral hues especially in public settings. The exceptions at the moment, however- are for any special occasions (i.e: she was not wearing black tops at the audition, that's taboo for actors, after all!) or on dates. That is the kind of person that she wants everyone to see her as. She's the lyricist and sound mixing of Nightcord at 25:00, although she's been trying to go and do other things too now--such as composing her own songs. However, in reality: Mafuyu herself is a hollow girl trying to fill in those holes and learning more about herself.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Ushio is a shadow--basically, what that means is that she's a copy of a girl that's dead right down to how she looks, acts, sounds, smells and even thinks like. You get the picture. And Ushio herself knows that she's an imitation and has had insecurities about it in the past. However, she's all but accepted it. She's also canonically half-French and half-Japanese, which is why she looks the way she does. Even in spite of this, she's a very energetic girl who is very much emotions over logic, putting the people she loves and cares about first.

DEMEANOR: #yolo, she carries herself with a lot of energy SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Being a shadow, she has a rather varied skillset. The first one is that her body as "Ushio" is made completely of data. As long as her main body, the flat shadow on the ground isn't hurt, she can regenerate as much as she wants. She also can use her hair as both a weapon and a shield and they are both very strong in that regard.
Ushio also can make copies of items that she has personally scanned and even use her hair to make copies of herself. If she uses too much of her hair, she'll become short haired. And if she uses too much of her power and is injured too much in regards to her shadow, she'll actually revert to a younger version of herself.
While not really applicable here, Ushio also has the - spoilers for Summertime Rendering, so highlight to read: Awakened Eye of Haine, meaning that she inherited what is basically a god's power. In the 'human world', this eye can be used to access spacetime; it's what grants Shinpei his ability to loop.
Also, given that Ushio is a shadow, she also has a short lifespan, which is why she can be at times having to eat Starling to maintain her physical body. ☆ character information; NAME: Ryuunosuke Fujinami CANON: Urusei Yatsura (2022) CANON POINT: Directly after the Miss Tomobiki contest (End of Season 2) BRIEF DESCRIPTION: At first glance, Ryuunosuke Fujinami comes across as a cool, aloof guy. Except, Ryuu is a girl. Raised as a boy by her overbearing father, Ryuunosuke is the next in line to inherit the Hama Tea Shop, having had to work there year round. Through her rough upbringing, she's learned how to brawl with her dad, all in an attempt to make her tough enough to run the shop. However, Ryuu's true goal is to be more feminine, to wear lipstick and eventually be able to buy and wear a bra. Something she feels she can't do until she finally defeats her father. She's... basically a walking pastiche of some martial arts movies from the 80s.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Female, she/her AGE: 17 HEIGHT: I'd say around 5'1, 5'2 WEIGHT: Not Heavy HAIR COLOR: Bluish EYE COLOR: Like, auburn red? STYLE: She dresses masculine, slacks and shorts with relatively normal button-up shirts and t-shirts. She's basically always wearing a chest wrapping as well. Her hair's cut short, never going past her neck. SCENT: THE SEA. VOICE: Ryuu's voiced by Ayahi Takagaki, speaks just as masculine as you'd expect and doesn't use too much in the way of slang. Especially now with her dad not hounding her, she just minds her business unless something's going on that requires an ass-kicking. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ryuu's smolder's pretty good. Seriously, she's tough and strong, able to keep up fighting with an old man that's much larger than her. While she's powerful, she's not necessarily disciplined, and absolutely refuses to fight dirty.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Rinne's a half-shinigami, able to be picked out in a crowd due to his bright red hair and the stench of poverty on him, although that's fading away a bit! Looks kinda dull sometimes. May also be wearing the Haori of the Underworld, which basically gives him the properties of a spirit.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: He/Him AGE: 17 HEIGHT: 5'5'' WEIGHT: 135 lbs HAIR COLOR: Red EYE COLOR: Red STYLE: He literally used to only wear a track suit, and he probably still mainly does. He dresses like if he buys a second pair of clothes, he'll be sent to the fucking Shadow Realm. SCENT: Actually, he does get to bathe regularly! He only smells like he has no money, which surprisingly isn't stinky! VOICE: Rinne's voiced by Kaito Ishikawa. He's an otherwise fairly reserved kind of guy, believe it or not! SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Very good at making paper roses, and altogether a very hard working young man. Mostly because he picks things up from having to help spirits cross over to the Circle of Reincarnation. While wearing the Haori of the Underworld, he can phase through walls and fly-- and in Starsand, this gets him limited access to the Spirit Realm, which he's gotten better with but he still can get ill if he's there too long.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO NOW? He's in his angst era. After Hanyuu's exit and hearing the townsfolk's opinions of her, he's started to feel his depression grow. He tried a couple things and none of them worked, and now Oyashiro-sama's reputation has been sullied. Other than that, he's still looking into becoming a kami himself, so that he can help the spirits gain individuality and attempt to reshape the world just a little to allow for that.

☆ character information; NAME: Ryoko Asakura CANON: The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan (by way of soulgemmed) CANON POINT: Post-manga (May 2nd year) BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Kind to a fault. Certainly strives on being a big sister/mom type to others, but also tends to worry about others a lot to her detriment. Has been through a lot in the last couple of years. She's got the aura of a mom and can be scary from time to time, but otherwise is fairly pleasant. Ryoko continues to carry on the impression of being a reliable class rep, and is always looking to be helpful.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Cis female, She/her AGE: 20 HEIGHT: 5'3 (160 cm) WEIGHT: never you mind HAIR COLOR: Blue EYE COLOR: Also blue?! STYLE: Ryoko dresses casually, usually looking quite like a mom. She has long hair, kept in place with a hair clip and her bangs showing off her forehead and pronounced eyebrows! Her magical girl outfit is frilly and looks similar to a school uniform, and she usually puts her hair in a ponytail while transformed. SCENT: Soap an' shampoo-- nothing super special. VOICE: In Japanese, she's voiced by Natsuko Kuwatani. She speaks properly and sometimes, overdramatically. In English, she's voiced by Bridget Hoffman. This clip shows off her more fussy side too, so enjoy that. DEMEANOR: As pleasantly as possible! On the day to day, Ryoko can be a bit chatty and keep up with the local color pretty well. She tends to keep a low profile when she's not feeling well, and she's become a pro at faking niceties if needed. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Mundanely, Ryoko is a fantastic cook. She pretty much prepped a Christmas meal (turkey included!) on her own, and constantly cooks for her best friend. Also, as an aside, her skill with knives has been described as "terrifying".
As a magi, she gains the ability to create a protective Closed Space around her and those around her, acting as a shield and a healing bubble at once. She can't hold it up for too long, or it'll start to take a physical toll on her. Ryoko also has the ability to exude a terrifying aura around her when she's overly angry, which cancels out her Closed Space and depending on how scared her enemy is of her at the moment, may be paralyzing. Finally, she has a slash/parry attack that she hasn't really used much yet. All of this stuff can be found here in greater detail.
CLOSE CR: Very rarely spotted without her lovely girlfriend Taiga Aisaka at her side. Ryoko's spending a lot more time with her lately now that they've finally started to ease up on overthinking the relationship thing. At least, Ryoko has anyway. She still visits Yayoi and Atsushi at Cafe Shayou, and will try to hang out with Yuuto whenever he decides to sneak outside. WHERE DO THEY LIVE? Top Level, City Center! She's living in a modern-looking two bedroom apartment with Taiga and their housing spirit, Kotori. Ryoko occasionally has to leave in order to cook poultry. Go figure. SCHOOLING/JOBS: Ryoko's thinking of doing university stuff soon, but otherwise she's operating an oden stand now! Usually around noon and then after sundown. Yes, she's looking at serving drinks. HOBBIES: These days, she's cooking more and more. She also is very good at shopping and getting deals, which means a lot less when money doesn't matter too much. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Much like Ryoko, she's a magi. Her ability lets her infuse any item with exploding magical energy, potentially concentrating it through something like her guns. She's also naturally got a strong-willed mind, tough to influence or take over.

He's requested a contract with the Wishmaker, under the conditions that he gets people to accept distortions, and if he fails he sacrifices someone capable of distorting. He'd rather not have to do that, so he's going to work extra hard to research distortions for his campaign! Part of his plan involves become well enough known as an actor to promote distortion acceptance in fiction. He might even lie about himself and claim he has a history with distortions or something.

He's contracted with Mu, who is a Distortion, and has the following abilities: - The ability to manifest illusions as psychic attacks or shields based on his own emotions. His stronger emotions will create more useful/convincing/powerful illusions. So his anger will be useful. - The ability to temporarily numb emotions of his close CR. He would never do this intentionally, which means he would avoid it but also leaves the option of him doing so accidentally at some point due to having poor control over it.

WHAT ARE THEY UP TO NOW? Elliot is kind of a stupid mess right now as he's internalizing everything that happened and trying to prevent it from happening again. He lost his family twice, so now he's very protective of the people he loves now to where it clouds his judgment. He still hasn't fully come to terms with everything that has happened, and he also blames himself for being unable to do more, so of course the practical thing to do is to do everything on his own. This isn't helped by the fact that he's run out of patience with the civilians spreading rumors, and his own impatience regarding waiting for something bad to happen.
He needs people willing to call him out and remind him as equals because oof does he feel incompetent. And he also needs to be able to enjoy the moment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Velda is a witch! Or at least one in training. She knows an assortment of spells, mostly air-aligned (her world's magic system has Air/Water/Fire/Earth/Life/Neutral alignment), and while most of them involve very long nonsense incantations, she and her friends have been developing ways to do them much shorter and faster. She also screwed up a spell in first year and started growing mushrooms from her body, especially when she expends magical energy, but that's not very useful, especially since you probably shouldn't eat them. Even her speech patterns notably switch from old-fashioned and stuffy (she prefers "dignified") to slipping into talking like a normal teenager at points. She does like to go out and have fun and be a regular girl, but she knows her duty is far too important to let that get to her too much... which itself causes a few problems.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: she/her AGE: 16-17ish; she was 15-16 in Excellent, and it's not clear how long that took aside from Christmas elapsing. She's been here since the beginning of the game, so that adds a year. HEIGHT: Small WEIGHT: Small HAIR COLOR: Brown EYE COLOR: Blue STYLE: When she's not just wearing her school uniform, Kokoro has an Aesthetic; she's rarely without her brown frilly headband and usually wears brown and cross prints on at least one article of clothing (often her scarf, even in summer). She's often in the long coat Soma got her, at least when it's colder out. She tends toward shorts and practical wear otherwise, though a lot of her event outits will be more girly and she doesn't mind that either. SCENT: Honestly, probably incense like you see at church. VOICE: VA is Harada Hitomi, and she usually sounds very serious -- or at least trying to take herself seriously. Clip. DEMEANOR: Kokoro has two modes: Normal Girl (fun-loving, but feeling somewhat guilty about it) and Serious Warrior (which she likes to project but maybe can't quite live up to all the time). Even her speech switches back and forth, slipping from her usual flowery old words to something less dignified when she's not paying attention. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: While she has no way to summon her Ride Viper or contact her boss, she still has the transformation to go with it (which she barely uses, as all Platonic Power can give her in this circumstance is a bubble shield and maybe breathing in space). More immediately relevant are a few bloodline abilities she's got, mainly centered around holy magic (hovering to shoot cross-shaped beams from her body when she gets up enough energy to do so) and some not (phasing through an opponent or wall). Aside from that, she can use a wide range of weapons, but I have her with the basic kit -- whip, holy water, throwing axes, boomerang crosses. Unfortunately, her hammerspace was nerfed last year with everyone else's. While most of this is well known, only her closest CR has seen all of her abilities.
CLOSE CR: Aside from her awkward tsundere thing with Soma, salting to Taiga and Ryoko about life, and being completely unable to understand Yuuto, if Kokoro's talked to you and not gotten into a massive fight with you, she will likely consider you a friend. If she believes you're a blight on society, she will say so. WHERE DO THEY LIVE? An apartment in the top level residential district. SCHOOLING/JOBS: She does odd jobs on occasion but wouldn't say no to something more stable at this point. HOBBIES: Training, mostly, but she has a lot of fun with the recreation options around the city and likes weird and interesting food. You get the picture. And Ushio herself knows that she's an imitation and has had insecurities about it in the past. However, she's all but accepted it. She's also canonically half-French and half-Japanese, which is why she looks the way she does. Even in spite of this, she's a very energetic girl who is very much emotions over logic, putting the people she loves and cares about first.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Being a shadow, she has a rather varied skillset. The first one is that her body as "Ushio" is made completely of data. As long as her main body, the flat shadow on the ground isn't hurt, she can regenerate as much as she wants. She also can use her hair as both a weapon and a shield and they are both very strong in that regard.
Ushio also can make copies of items that she has personally scanned and even use her hair to make copies of herself. If she uses too much of her hair, she'll become short haired. And if she uses too much of her power and is injured too much in regards to her shadow, she'll actually revert to a younger version of herself.
While not really applicable here, Ushio also has the - spoilers for Summertime Rendering, so highlight to read: Awakened Eye of Haine, meaning that she inherited what is basically a god's power. In the 'human world', this eye can be used to access spacetime; it's what grants Shinpei his ability to loop.
Also, given that Ushio is a shadow, she also has a short lifespan, which is why she can be at times having to eat Starling to maintain her physical body.

Through her rough upbringing, she's learned how to brawl with her dad, all in an attempt to make her tough enough to run the shop. However, Ryuu's true goal is to be more feminine, to wear lipstick and eventually be able to buy and wear a bra. Something she feels she can't do until she finally defeats her father. She's... basically a walking pastiche of some martial arts movies from the 80s.

Mostly because he picks things up from having to help spirits cross over to the Circle of Reincarnation. While wearing the Haori of the Underworld, he can phase through walls and fly-- and in Starsand, this gets him limited access to the Spirit Realm, which he's gotten better with but he still can get ill if he's there too long.
CLOSE CR: Forever buds with his Shrine of Sin fam, being Velda, Pidonus and especially Rika, who he's protective over due to Recent Events. Other than that, he's still very close friends with Kanade and Mafuyu, and is cheerleading the hell out of their relationship.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Kind to a fault. Certainly strives on being a big sister/mom type to others, but also tends to worry about others a lot to her detriment. Has been through a lot in the last couple of years. She's got the aura of a mom and can be scary from time to time, but otherwise is fairly pleasant. Ryoko continues to carry on the impression of being a reliable class rep, and is always looking to be helpful.

SCENT: Soap an' shampoo-- nothing super special.
VOICE: In Japanese, she's voiced by Natsuko Kuwatani. She speaks properly and sometimes, overdramatically. In English, she's voiced by Bridget Hoffman. This clip shows off her more fussy side too, so enjoy that.
DEMEANOR: As pleasantly as possible! On the day to day, Ryoko can be a bit chatty and keep up with the local color pretty well. She tends to keep a low profile when she's not feeling well, and she's become a pro at faking niceties if needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Mundanely, Ryoko is a fantastic cook. She pretty much prepped a Christmas meal (turkey included!) on her own, and constantly cooks for her best friend. Also, as an aside, her skill with knives has been described as "terrifying".
As a magi, she gains the ability to create a protective Closed Space around her and those around her, acting as a shield and a healing bubble at once. She can't hold it up for too long, or it'll start to take a physical toll on her. Ryoko also has the ability to exude a terrifying aura around her when she's overly angry, which cancels out her Closed Space and depending on how scared her enemy is of her at the moment, may be paralyzing. Finally, she has a slash/parry attack that she hasn't really used much yet. All of this stuff can be found here in greater detail.
CLOSE CR: Very rarely spotted without her lovely girlfriend Taiga Aisaka at her side. Ryoko's spending a lot more time with her lately now that they've finally started to ease up on overthinking the relationship thing. At least, Ryoko has anyway. She still visits Yayoi and Atsushi at Cafe Shayou, and will try to hang out with Yuuto whenever he decides to sneak outside.

He's been able to keep his body alive for hundreds of years, but he hasn't been taking care of it lately so it's starting to decline! Beyond that, he's very gifted at psychology, using people's weaknesses and motives against them, and in general manipulating them however he wants. He's good at fraud and acting. I haven't decided his canon supernatural abilities yet so we'll see, but now he can see and communicate with spirits!

He'd rather not have to do that, so he's going to work extra hard to research distortions for his campaign! Part of his plan involves become well enough known as an actor to promote distortion acceptance in fiction. He might even lie about himself and claim he has a history with distortions or something.

- The ability to manifest illusions as psychic attacks or shields based on his own emotions. His stronger emotions will create more useful/convincing/powerful illusions. So his anger will be useful.
- The ability to temporarily numb emotions of his close CR. He would never do this intentionally, which means he would avoid it but also leaves the option of him doing so accidentally at some point due to having poor control over it.
He doesn't realize he has these abilities yet so if anyone wants to at some point do something with them lmk.

This isn't helped by the fact that he's run out of patience with the civilians spreading rumors, and his own impatience regarding waiting for something bad to happen.
He needs people willing to call him out and remind him as equals because oof does he feel incompetent. And he also needs to be able to enjoy the moment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Velda is a witch! Or at least one in training. She knows an assortment of spells, mostly air-aligned (her world's magic system has Air/Water/Fire/Earth/Life/Neutral alignment), and while most of them involve very long nonsense incantations, she and her friends have been developing ways to do them much shorter and faster. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: To some a duty-bound warrior, to some a pretentious tryhard, Kokoro spends a lot of time trying to live up to her family's legacy as a hunter protecting people from creatures of the night who would do them harm. Even her speech patterns notably switch from old-fashioned and stuffy (she prefers "dignified") to slipping into talking like a normal teenager at points. She does like to go out and have fun and be a regular girl, but she knows her duty is far too important to let that get to her too much... which itself causes a few problems.

DEMEANOR: Kokoro has two modes: Normal Girl (fun-loving, but feeling somewhat guilty about it) and Serious Warrior (which she likes to project but maybe can't quite live up to all the time). Even her speech switches back and forth, slipping from her usual flowery old words to something less dignified when she's not paying attention.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: While she has no way to summon her Ride Viper or contact her boss, she still has the transformation to go with it (which she barely uses, as all Platonic Power can give her in this circumstance is a bubble shield and maybe breathing in space). More immediately relevant are a few bloodline abilities she's got, mainly centered around holy magic (hovering to shoot cross-shaped beams from her body when she gets up enough energy to do so) and some not (phasing through an opponent or wall). Aside from that, she can use a wide range of weapons, but I have her with the basic kit -- whip, holy water, throwing axes, boomerang crosses. Unfortunately, her hammerspace was nerfed last year with everyone else's. While most of this is well known, only her closest CR has seen all of her abilities.
CLOSE CR: Aside from her awkward tsundere thing with Soma, salting to Taiga and Ryoko about life, and being completely unable to understand Yuuto, if Kokoro's talked to you and not gotten into a massive fight with you, she will likely consider you a friend. If she believes you're a blight on society, she will say so.
