THE MISTLETOE MEME

You know the drill!

Up to their usual shenanigans, the spirits of Starsand have gone wild with placing mistletoe around the city. They're putting it in stores, on the streets, in the forest, in peoples' homes-- This glowing fireflies are out of control!

Fortunately, most citizens of Starsand don't know any winter holiday traditions. They walk right on by and don't bat an eye. Unfortunately, the ones that the spirits are playing with are the Fallen Stars. And while most mistletoe can be bypassed easily, some of them are enchanted. If you spot an enchanted mistletoe and know the tradition, then you'll be rooted in place until someone comes to kiss you-- or vice versa. Some enchanted mistletoe will go full Sleeping Beauty and cause people to pass out in the snow. And some enchanted mistletoe will simply make the act of kissing a loved one, platonically or otherwise, a very warm and pleasant experience.

Some of the mistletoe catches fire spontaneously, but hopefully you won't run into those ones.

Top-Level with your characters & have fun! Prompts can be canon if both parties agree, but this is primarily for fun and shenanigans.

Rinne was literally just heading back to the shrine and, coincidentally, wound up passing by Mafuyu. He held up a hand in greeting before finding himself instantly stuck. And kind of wobbling to try to get out of it, but-- ]

Kanade had been shuffling back to room after refilling her water bottle, focused more on the melody in her head she'd been trying to put down on paper than looking where she was going. She passes Mafuyu in the hall on the way back to her room, nods in acknowledgement, and-

And suddenly, she can't move. Kanade sways in place, trying to stop herself from toppling over - there were no rugs for her feet to catch on, so how????]

[Yuuto is determined to get everyone that he loves a present for Christmas.

... So all of Starsand, basically!

Naturally, that includes Fauna. He's using the same 'trick' that he used on Ryoko and inviting her out to shop with him. Ideally, he'll be able to figure out what she wants by watching her navigate a shopping mall.

This shopping trip is, of course, doomed to be plagued by mistletoe. But at least right now, as he comes to pick her up at the ADA office, Yuuto is too wound-up to notice what the spirits have been up to.]

[This is Yuuto’s first ‘Christmas,’ and he is far too excited. Especially about gift giving. He didn’t know what to get for Ryoko, so had devised an ingenious plan..! Take her shopping for their friends, but be super stealthy and observant about the things Ryoko wanted for herself!!

Unfortunately, he has a belt tail that gives away his emotions.

And also the spirits chose today to unleash mistletoe hell on the shopping district.]

Ryoko Ryoko! Where should we start? What store is your favorite- [His tail smacks the ground, in the place of pinching himself and reminding him to be less obvious!
